The Robert Morton Organ in the New Williamson Theatre
(Company Advertisement) Was built in Van Nuys,
California, specially constructed to fit the acoustics of
the building. The organ is located in a large room in
the back of one of the theatre walls and is operated by
the organist from the console, which has been placed in
the center of the orchestra pit. The console is of the
most up-to-date type, three manual, with a full concave
and radiating pedal keyboard attached.

Every piece of wood used in the organ lays in the sun
for two years in California before being used.
This insures it against warping, swelling, shrinking or splitting.

Twelve lowres,or shutters, control the volume of the organ.
These lowres are operated from the console by the organist,
either singly or multiply, as he desires, thereby giving
balanced expression to the organ.

The stop keys are arranged in double rows
on each side of the console
insuring ease to the organist in manipulating to blend
the various tones. These stop keys are grouped so that
those marked Division I play on the pedal key. Division II
on the lower, Division III on the middle and Division IV
on the top keyboards.

In the organ, a beautiful effect is obtained by combining
the orchestral tones with the true church organ tones.
Among other instrumental tones are found trumpets,
violins, cellos, horns, oboes, flutes, piccolos, baritones, etc.
The Vox Humana is the nearest approach t the human voice
that has yet been manufactured, as it sounds like a chorus singing.

There is a complete set of chimes manufactured by J. C. Deagan,
of Chicago, who makes the finest orchestral accessories
in the country. The xylophone is also built by Deagan,
being made of the best cocabola wood.

The trap drum outfit is one of which any drummer would be proud.
Getsch drums are used throughout. The instrument is
indeed the “last word” in modern, up-to-the minute theatre equipment.
